1. Understand What Self-Care Means

For entrepreneurs, self-care often doesn’t involve a bubble bath or an afternoon at a spa. Instead, you might think of self-care as permitting yourself to make time for nonessential tasks so you can focus on your most important work. If you want to grow your business and be successful, ensure your health and well-being are not compromised.

2. Set Reasonable Goals

You don’t have to spend hours at a gym every day. Even 10 minutes of strength training a few times a week can make a big difference, not only in your ability to lift heavy objects but also in your overall health.

3. Use Accountability Tools

Whether you use an app or post your goals on social media, there are plenty of ways to keep yourself accountable. When other people know about your self-care goals, they’re more likely to encourage you and push you through when things get tough.

6. Try Relaxation Techniques

Meditation and deep breathing may seem like another time-eater, but they can help reduce stress, one of the most dangerous things an entrepreneur faces. Entrepreneurs often experience more stress and burnout than their non-entrepreneur counterparts.

7. Outsource Tasks

When you’re running a business, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. If you’re feeling frazzled from trying to handle everything yourself, consider outsourcing some of your less critical tasks. Hiring a virtual assistant and customer service reps might be more expensive than doing things yourself in terms of upfront costs, but these freelance hires can take a huge burden off your shoulders.

8. Form a Business Entity

Consider forming a limited liability company (LLC) or other business entity that allows you to separate your personal and business affairs. Doing so will protect your assets if anything goes wrong with your business. Setting up an LLC is easy and inexpensive when you use a business formation service.
